What were some of your favorite “beginnings” in your life? How did they set the tone for what was to come?

Is it easy to make the Bible a story about us? Why is this wrong?

What are some characteristics of God that we see in Genesis 1:1-2?

How are these characteristics comforting to us?

How might “In the beginning… God” help reorient our lives?

In what ways have you seen this in your life?
