Discussion Questions:

Read Philippians 1:18-30

Are you growing something now? Plants? A business? Waistline? What are the keys to growth in what you are growing?

Can you list some of the keys to a persevering faith that we talked about in the sermon? Which ones stood out to you? Which ones are going well for you now? Which ones are tough for you right now?

How did Jesus embody these keys?

Talk about some times when your faith cost you something.

Statement from the message, “A hard life in God’s hands is better than an easy life in my hands. Why? Because we can trust God’s hands better than we can trust what we see with our eyes.” Do you agree with this? Why our why not? When have you witnessed this in your life?

Philippians 1:27 says, “Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ.” What does this mean? How is this working out in your life today?

How can we suffer well to the glory of God?
