Trust in God’s strength and not our own
God always keeps His promises - in this world or the next
God’s promises move us to obedience
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
When you think of something that is truly powerful, what do you think about? A waterfall, a piece of music, the Hoover dam, etc.? What makes it powerful?
How powerful are we, truly? Are we in control of our circumstances? What is outside of our control?
Why should we trust in God’s strength and not our own?
What promises of God have been encouraging to you?
Are there promises of God that you have been trusting, but God hasn’t seemed to answer yet?
How do God’s promises lead us to obedience?
